Frank Jackson

Frank, a key member of the R.I. Heller team, specializes in finance, capital structuring, and writing and vetting business plans. He is an expert at providing due diligence for domestic and international public and private companies. Frank is an expert restructuring professional in bankruptcies and troubled companies.

Frank began his professional career as a CPA with the international accounting firm KPMG Peat Marwick. Following KPMG, Frank served as a manager in various accounting positions with FSC Corporation, a publicly-owned company with operations in equipment leasing, telecommunications, manufacturing and petroleum refining industries. Frank was a member of the new management team responsible for reorganizing and restructuring FSC and many of its subsidiaries after poor economic conditions and risk management by their former senior personnel resulted in various Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.

Frank was appointed Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Chicago Holdings, Inc. (CHI). CHI was a closely held venture capital company with investments in public and privately owned companies engaged principally in the equipment leasing and consumer finance industries. As CHI's chief accounting officer, Frank was responsible for all accounting and tax matters of CHI and all of its subsidiaries. Prior to CHI's involvement with a company he would lead the due diligence process, as it related to accounting and tax matters, and reviewed or prepared the financial and cash flow projections required to evaluate the company's operations. Frank had a continuing responsibility to provide support and guidance to operating management and periodically was named interim chief financial officer or controller of the subsidiaries, as specific conditions required.

Frank was a member of a team of professionals that were challenged with the reorganization of First Merchants Acceptance Corporation, a $750 million specialty automobile finance company that CHI was instrumental in founding in 1991. He worked with that team until First Merchants was sold in April, 1998.

In 1998 Frank joined R.I. Heller and worked on a series of assignments including controller for 250 million dollar automotive subsidiary. Included in his experience he performed extensive strategic planning for a national casual dining restaurant chain, provided all public reporting on assignment with Protein Polymer Technologies, Inc., a public biotechnology research and development company in CA, and has created and monitored cash flows and cash forecasting for both public and private companies. Additionally, Frank has provided accounting and financial services for other R.I. Heller engagements which required extensive public financial reporting and planning.

Frank is a CPA and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with undergraduate studies in economics and mathematics and a graduate degree in business administration.
